Howdy, folks.I now live in beautiful Nova Scotia after spending many years in British Columbia where I was a counsellor and an AIDS and Gay rights activist. I now work with adolescents with substance misuse problems as Chair of a foundation running special programs for them, and run an organic farm which is a 'work as rehab' project. I'm also director of the family support and resource centre in my town. For 14 years I also counselled newly diagnosed HIV+ people, having myself been given an AIDS diagnosis in 1984. Over the years I've worked nationally in Canada on housing, welfare reform, issues around patient rights, street involved persons and income security.
