Tripod: What if you or your partner were on the pill? Would you take a chance?

Lydia
Female Escort

I would still use contraception. I would still use prophylactics. If I was on the pill, that's not protection-- that's protection against pregnancy, it's not protection against disease, which is my concern. A pregnancy can be terminated. STDs today are fatal. So my concern is disease, not pregnancy.

Susan Yates
Gynecologist

That still leaves you with a very real issue of STDs. That requires careful and candid discussion between the two partners. You have to have the intimacy that makes that discussion possible, before one should feel that they're ready for the intimacy of a sexual relationship.

Bob

Again, probably.

No, I won't, and I don't think anybody else should either.
