Welcome to another issue of the Tripod Insider, your source for all the latest news on -- and off -- the Tripod web site. No major disasters occurred this month, but we were still quite busy. The Tripod Team grew by one, endured a substantial office move, and survived not one, but two blizzards here in Williamstown.Scott Walker, formerly of the Utne Lens, joined Tripod as the Producer. He is in charge of the production process, hence the title. Scott was so eager to leave Minnesota, one of the first things he did when he arrived was to get his driver's license changed. Ironically, the weather here was actually worse than in Minneapolis.
After the snow settled down a bit, a few of us hit the slopes...the sledding hill that is. It was a mission to test various modes of snow transportation that included assorted toboggans, a sno-tube, and of course a tray. One of my runs on the speedy sno-tube produced quite a spectacular jump (according to the crowd) that resulted in an equally spectacular fall. King of the hill honors, however, must go to Bruce, aka "the Bean Counter" who left the hill with a broken rib.
I should also mention the addition of an office pet courtesy of Jeff, Melanie, and Nate who have adopted the cutest little puppy. The dog is still unnamed, but is proving to be a great distraction during our meetings. Suggestions for names can be submitted on the Daily Scoop page:

----+-----+------| Content & Services |------+-----+---- Tripod continues to grow with new members joining every day. This means, of course, more instant winners. In fact, I recently sent Tripod Bottle Opener Keychains to over 200 lucky Tripod members. And would you believe that I did not receive a single thank you...some people!
More members also means more homepages on Tripod. On Tuesday, Tripod surpassed the 2000 homepage mark. Cool! Over 2000 Tripod members have built their homepages with Tripod. Check them out:

Some of the homepages are very interesting. Check them out and vote for your favorite page.
Margaret, our Creative Director, is busy redesigning parts of Tripod. We put up a new, asier to use homepage. The cool faucet is gone, but we were a little worried about the image of Tripod washing down the drain.
Political Playbook also benefited from a major facelift. Now it's even easier to stay current and get active with many political issues. We've even put together a special Race to the White House where your vote decides who wins.
We're still getting some great interviews. We spoke with Camille Paglia for today's interview. See what she had to say:
