Tripod Insider

This week Tripod's NY staff moved from its swanky downtown SOHO offices to shack up in corporate mid-town with Lycos. The tech guys had to hook up the sales reps' lap tops to the new network, forcing them to leave them behind for the weekend. You never saw a bunch of sadder faces -- Internet folks being deprived of their computers all weekend!

On a happier note, Ethan Zuckerman and his fiancee, Rachel, finally tied the knot after what was called "the longest engagement in history!" Staff members who attended the ceremony and reception reported, hands down, that the most memorable event of the evening was the traditional Jewish dance in which Ethan's Tripod counterparts, Bo, Bruce, and David, along with Ben (Kara's beau), and Steve (Ethan's sensei), hoisted Ethan up in a chair above the crowd. The men struggled, and have admitted to nearly dropping him (don't tell Ethan), but somehow managed to keep him up for the duration of the song. Lives, gratefully, were not lost.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to e-mail our new newlywed Ethan Zuckerman, Vice President, Research & Development. His mailbox is always open.
