When folks leave a job and take another position, they sometimes refer to "greener pastures." In the case of research engineer Chris Warren, this term is literally true. Chris is heading off to Hawaii, where he'll be teaching computer science at a prestigious high school, and enjoying weather that's significantly more predictable than winters in Williamstown. This isn't much of a change, actually -- Chris frequently teaches us all about computer science and we often behave like high schoolers. We're all sorry to see Chris leave, but we're mostly just jealous.
Lest you fear that there are too many empty chairs at Tripod, we've brought two new faces aboard since the last Insider. Brian Fisher is joining us in our production department, where he'll be wrestling HTML into submission -- he recently hails from Princeton, NJ, so we figure he'll have few problems adjusting to another small college town. Shannon Johnson is also joining us on the production team. She's a recent alumna of the graduate interactive arts program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the program I dropped out of years ago to join Tripod. I guess some people have what it takes to finish what they start.
