duph: Add your URL to search engines such as Webcrawler, Yahoo and Excite. Also, you can say "Go to my home page it's at: http://www.tripod.com/~DUPH/index.html and it's great!" To everyone you meet.Gabriele: I downloaded a Chat program (Netscape Chat). After the people on the chatline are asking what I am doing online, I'll let them know thatI spend most of my time to design my webpage. I give them my WEB page address and they will look at it. Justin_Nimtz: Put the name of your URL in a signature file which will be posted at the end of every E-mail message you send.
tacobor: My best advice is to add your URL to seach engines A.K.A. Yahoo!, Lycos, Alta Vista et.al. I personally also have links on people's pages who like my site. All you have to do is ask them to add a link to your page and more often than not they will.
Cyber2: Well you can use a service called Submit It at "http://www.submit-it.com"... and it will add it to all the search engines!!! You can also use IRC and stuff..... there ye go!
jahf: Try submitting your site via one of these sites ... I like submit-it best, and use it when I've finished with a client's page. Be warned, it takes a couple of weeks or more for some of them to register, but using a submission service won't make it take any long and WILL make it a lot simpler.

Sergei_Fedorov: Go to every Chat you know of, and say, "VISIT MY PAGE AT: YOUR URL HERE. DON'T FORGET TO BOOKMARK IT!" Easy!
shopkins: Run naked through traffic waving a gun and screaming, "Visit my web page or I'll take a hostage."
AWismeijer: Get your homepage a picture, which you must use then in a chat site. Chances are they will ask you were you got the pic from and you can proudly reply from where...Your homepage!
Ellis: go to Internet Link Exchange at http://www.linkexchange.com/ and they will advertise it for FREE
Nephilim: Put in the subject of your page at the top...like games games games games games games... Guranteed to appear at the top of the list in search engines!
MURG: I agree with most of the people above... go to "SUBMIT IT" and they will set you up for free... it worked for me!

aeden: Don't forget to rub pudding all over your body BEFORE you run naked into the street. Actually, the best way to increase activity on your page is to build a page with a purpose. Great content, cool features, and such...
DCompton: Tell your friends. Mine is at http://members.tripod.com/~DCompton/index.html See how easy that was or post it to Webcrawler. My other Angelfire page is on there and so far had 113 visitors.
fatfat: Post your web information to the bbs, sign up it in the search engine databse or ask for popular site to link to your site.
Scarab: I would like to visit as many of the member pages as possible and I am willing to also link member pages to my page. Please visit my page while you are at it. Hmmm, where did it go, oh, it's right WBS and put a link to your page on your name. In the last month I have had over 180 hits and counting. Visit my page and check it out.

ethan: Tattoo the URL of your homepage on your forehead. That way everyone who you meet will know where your page is and will check it out the instant they're next in front of a computer.
sls: It seems you have a problem many people have. Simply because your homepage is not visited very often does not mean that it is void of creativity, or that it is low on quality content.
Of course, ont the other hand, this could entirely be the reason. But no matter what I feel, your problem can be solved by The Bottom 5%. Yes, come visit and become a member, http://www.iit.edu/~balabri/bottom.html.ZombieMan: Just go to submit it. There, you can submit your page to the most popular engines in one place. Also go to chat rooms and post your address in there.
OIWA: Go to Submit-It because they let you put your page on all these different indexes. It's very cool, & it works. I got my page (Subliminal advertisement!) somewhere there!
andreamer: And once you have advertised your page, I have one really good way to keep people coming back for more.
