Abortion: Pro-Life Feminism (danewe)
This highly debatable, sensitive, and explosive issue is at the very heart of Feminism today. Womyn have fought long and hard for their freedom in every aspect of their lives. Now, we stand at the threshold of yet another division of womynhood. This issue strikes at the very heart of womynhood - motherhood. Again, womyn are having to stand up for their beliefs, against a very forceful opponent, regardless of which side of this issue they stand upon.
Just the mention of Pro-Life Feminism, in itself, sounds like an oxymoron, but the courage that it takes to stand behind such an issue of controversy is the same courage that has won the womyn of today their ability to stand and fight for their beliefs.
I highly commend this site and webauthor for taking a strong stand in the midst of yet another battle, still being fought.
Living By Grace: The Life and Times of Alice Walker (chrisdanielle)
A wonderful dedication to an amazing author, Alice Walker. How many of us sat mesmerized for hours by the movie "The Color Purple" (and not just by being mesmerized by Whoopi Goldberg's smile), which was a screen adaptation of Alice Walker's best seller, "The Color Purple".
Now you know who Alice Walker is. Visit this wonderful website to find out all about this brave and amazing African American author, activist, teacher, etc. She has a life worth reading about which shines through from the talent and enthusiasm of the webmistress.
Girl power? Ya right this is women power (javedm786)
The term "Muslim feminist" seems almost an oxymoron, which is why I feel we should all pay more attention to these Muslim feminist links.
No Visible Scars (NoVisibleScars)
As best as humanly possible, the publisher shares her feelings about surviving rape, as well as offering space for other survivors to share their own stories and/or feelings.
This is a site that should not be missed, whether you are a survivor or not. This should be at the top of the list of Feminist issues. Show your support for these survivors that want to take back their lives.
