From Siouxsie Fava, Designer:
Hello from my new job.
Having a great time, wish you were here. Yes, as a matter of fact I am having a great time here at Tripod. I moved up from working in the big city of Manhattan to a small town in Massachusetts. Of course, it was a bit of culture shock at first, or more like lack-of-culture shock. My mind was used to being simulated 24/7, if need be, in the Big Apple but here, well, I actually bought my first TV.
This all came about so smoothly, I believe it was meant to be. I was happy to move north and be closer to all the winter sports I love. I got the coolest house to live in and I even got the cool T-Rex U-Haul to move. It was one more part of my plan fitting into place.
Some people want fame and fortune, a fancy car, and a castle to live in. Me, I wanted a country setting, the slopes at my door and the ability to work from home every now and again. So yeah, I planed this move for a long time it had been my dream to leave the Big Apple. You know what they say, "if you can make it here you can make it anywhere." That's what I was there for, the chance to eventually go anywhere.
Thanks, Tripod, for giving me that chance. I really love the laid back nature of this place and the friendly folks I work with. Now my most pressing dilemmas are, When will I ever get the chance to wear all that city slicker clothing I own? And how do I ride every mountain in the area and still stay employed?
See you on the slopes.
