Meet the people
who make Tripod
|
|
|
Tim Breen
Director of Product Marketing
[email protected]
You know how Don likes the weather? Well, Tim is a meteorologist
and a friend of Don's who appeared on our doorstep just as La Niña
was about to take over from El Niño. Coincidence? We think
not! Tim has combined his passion for the weather with his passion
for the internet in a number of product marketing and management
positions with two online information companies that specialized
in real-time weather information and graphics. Tripod is
frequently as unpredictable as the weather, so we're sure Tim will
feel right at home.

Rebecca Foisy
Product Manager, Commerce and Affliate Programs
[email protected]
After lurking through college as BQ (Biology Queen) the lab geek
who never lost a limbo contest, Rebecca has migrated from Boston
to Billsville and emerged as a Web geek with a penchant for playing
violent sports (rugby, field hockey, ice hockey) and a secret love
of anything disco (protect that disco ball, Siouxsie!). We have
harnessed her energies attempting to keep both our commerce
partners and our members happy (good thing she has those violent
sports to release her frustrations).

Dori Almann
Public Relations Manager
[email protected]
Dori shares her life outside of Tripod with Mo the Renaissance man,
her two Rottweilers, Riga (pictured with Dori) and Tula, and the
inhabitants of the on-site beaver pond. This foursome enjoys a rustic
existence on 75 acres of open fields and forest. When Dori isn't at
her desk, she's either gardening, hiking, or skiing, depending on the
season. And if it's spring, you can bet she's keeping the timeless New
England tradition of maple sugaring! Rumor has it, she finds time to read too.

Stephen Clark
Brand Manager
[email protected]
Stephen's family hails from County Durham in England, which explains his loyalty to Newcastle United and, more notably, Newcastle Brown Ale. Stephen started out in Boston, and has lived in Chatham, NJ, New York City, and Chicago. Like a lot of Tripodians, he knew someone here before he came Sean Coon, a frat brother from Syracuse. Same old stuff ... now the "details." His senior year at Syracuse, he won a campus-wide, three-point-shooting competition. When he was a kid, his photograph was on the box for Candyland Bingo. He's worked for the New York Yankees, even though he's a life-long Red Sox fan. Moving to Williamstown has had quite an effect on Stephen. After his move this summer, he and his girlfriend got engaged. Ahh, the magic of the Berkshires at work!

Jonathan Buoni
Marketing Associate
[email protected]
Just a year ago Jonathan was living in Milan, Italy, working on
his MBA at the SDA Bacconi with a special focus in the management
of fashion and design companies. After receiving his degree, he
was faced with a difficult decision: Stay in Milan and work in
an industry dominated by beautiful women? Or return to his native
Williamstown to work among the oh-so-fashionable folks at Tripod?
Jonathan confesses that he is still slightly surprised by his
choice, but the Tripod United soccer team is determined to keep
him and his fabulous flying feet here in the Purple Valley.

Justin Harrison
Product Manager, Publishing and Communications
[email protected]
Justin is just an all 'round great guy - graduate of the local
public high school, then a semester at the National Outdoor
Leadership School before getting his degree from Bowdoin, another
semester abroad at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. He
plays rugby, rides horseback, skis, and enjoys rock climbing.
All these mainstream abilities and accomplishments made the rest
of us more selectively accomplished Tripodians a little nervous,
until we discovered that Justin has his wild side too. Like the
when he drove from Maine to Key West and back (with a detour to
New Orleans) in just four days with a car load of buddies. And
the time his rugby team was on tour in Ireland for a tournament
but scored most of their points at the Guinness brewery in Dublin.
We feel a little better now...

Nadine Kessler
Marketing Associate
[email protected]
Nadine started working for Tripod in NYC back in '97.
She stayed for almost a year before going on maternity leave to give birth
to her son Joshua. Working part-time from home now allows her enough time to be a mother too.
She hasn't seen her favorite TV show, Law and Order, since young Joshua entered her life, but she never misses the
8 a.m. episode of Sesame Street! Joshua keeps her busy, and when he doesn't, there's Tripod!

Carrie Lincourt
Marketing Associate
[email protected]
Carrie falls down. A lot. Despite her athletic leanings (gymnastics,
soccer, swimming, running), when going through the game of life, she
is a major klutz. She claims this is due to her poor depth perception,
and the cut on her forehead from walking into a wreath can attest to
this (or at least attest to something). Carrie is fiercely independent,
but it could be that she just doesn't have time for anyone else. Not
only is she working full-time at Tripod in the Marketing Dept, but she
also attends grad school part-time in neighboring Troy, NY.

Venkat Srinivasan
Marketing Specialist
[email protected]
Venkat's full name appropriately means "Lord of the Seven hills." We have a few more
than that in the Berkshires, but it still seems fitting. Venkat has an exotic chocolate
preference dark chocolate Mars candy bars (not sold in the U.S.). He is originally
from India and consequently, a semi-linguist. He studied with his quasi-cubicle mate, Karry
Bengtson, at Syracuse University, and was born on Friday the 13th. Coincidence? We think not.

Jamie Riehle
Product Manager, Search and Directory
[email protected]
When Star Wars came out in the summer of 1977, Jamie saw it 21 times. He somehow conned George
Lucas into moving the release date of the Phantom Menace to his birthday, May 19, 1999. Jamie graduated
from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He quit engineering
after a year to work in comics. He was hired by the Kitchen Sink Press, and published many award-winning
comics and graphic novels. After working there for nearly seven years, he followed former coworker Katy Garnier to Tripod.
Katie's glad 'cause now she has someone to carpool with from Northampton, MA. We're glad 'cause Jamie brought Jar Jar Bink's candy tongue to work with him!
