techno-whizzes
Don Zereski
VP of Technology
don@tripod.com
Don likes weather, not the way most people like, say a really sunny day,
but weather in general. Sometimes we find him on the roof before a nasty
electrical storm taunting the clouds. Fortunately, he wears rubber soled
shoes. Apart from trying to conquer the forces of nature, Don keeps the
tech guys in line and tells us how quickly we can have new toys. He also
plays a mean game of pool, but if you wanna play, you gotta pay.

Jeff Vander Clute
Director of Internet Technology
jeff@tripod.com
It's common knowledge that tech gurus are not like the rest of us. Jeff is
proof enough of that he is as likely to talk to you in PERL or C++ as
he is in French or English. But unlike many of his no-frills compatriots, Jeff
is no stranger to the finer things in life. In fact, he recently bought a
Jaguar even though he had been sleeping in the attic at Tripod for months.
We're not sure what that says about his priorities, but he has impeccable taste
(and we really enjoy going through the drive-through at Burger King in his bad-ass ride).
Christopher Johnson
Quality Assurance Manager
cdjohnson@tripod.com
Chris Johnson has been proclaimed the Crown
Prince of Production. He's laid back and loves life. He loves to randomly
call people "big dummies." He loves his job. He loves HTML so much that
he's got an ampersand tattooed on his ankle. He's a multimedia guru, as well as a flamenco dancer.
In his spare time he trains bears and builds igloos. What a guy.
Derek Bruneau
Software Engineer
dbruneau@tripod.com
Working for a financial investment company can be a lot like working at
Tripod: You've got to be smart, fast, and quick on your feet. Derek has
been spotted giving the tech guys a lesson in sword play. And no one is
quicker on his feet than Derek. He's demonstrated that he's quite a fencer out in
the parking lot. Where else are we going to bash each other with
swords?
Bob Galloway
Software Engineer
bob@tripod.com
Bob chooses his words carefully. Take his name, for example.
How much more economical can you get with the English language?
He tends to let his collection of eye-popping T-shirts and the occasional
wry witticism do the talking for him. To us, he's a charming and harmless
little fuzzball. But we've noticed that his chat nickname is "Bobsquatch,"
leading some to wonder if he is one of those "quiet types" that winds up being
profiled on "America's Most Wanted."
Heather Grace
Software Engineer
hgrace@tripod.com
Faced with a 40 minute commute through the perils of Berkshire County
traffic, Heather plays it smart and leaves for work usually no later
than 5 am. Before coming to Tripod, our hero programmed Trident II
submarines and F117 stealth fighters, so we wonder what mischief she
could be sowing in the hours before the rest of us show up. Working
the dawn shift allows Heather to spend lots of quality time in the
afternoon and evening with her four kiddos, ages 3 to 10. And somehow,
on top of it all, she manages to be fluent in over two million forms
of programming. Some people just don't sleep!
Michelle Greenleaf
Software Engineer
mgreenleaf@tripod.com
Not long after Heather Grace started at Tripod, Michelle Greenleaf showed up.
Michelle has also been known to program missile guidance systems, sub radar
systems, and tank software. Michelle also arrives at work before the sun rises.
Coincidence? After a hard day of world dominance, Michelle likes to unwind with a
game of golf and a six pack of New Castle beer.
Brian Rogers
Software Engineer
brian@tripod.com
If you ask Brian where he hails from, he'll probably say,
"from the sky but only when the weather conditions are just right."
Actually, he's most recently from Providence, Rhode Island where he nurtured
an interest in body art. In his idle time, he ponders poking more holes
in his ears and getting more tattoos, yet he's lacking one essential
ingredient: guts. Still, that shouldn't be so hard for Brian. He has a
third degree black belt in Shotokan karate, and a first degree black belt in
Tang Soo Do.
Sher Khurshid
Software Engineer
sher@tripod.com
Jason Macauley
Junior Software Engineer
jason@tripod.com
Around here, Jason is known as "Mac" which pretty much reflects his easy
going attitude. He's so laid back that even cows will take him for a ride.
(He grew up on a farm.) But don't mistake him for a slacker. In his idle
time, Mac is just as likely to curl up with a book by Sartre or
Dostoevsky, as he is to play a round of video golf. Just don't ask him
about playing for real: He's got his virtual game down pat, but his real
game bites. It's just as well that Mac's hooked to his computer, he shoots
through e-mail like no one else.
Kate Krolicki
Junior Software Engineer
kkrolicki@tripod.com
Kate and her crazy furry friends can be found roaming the offices late at night in an attempt
to save the bat population of the east wing. Kate "the Caped Crusader" as she has become know to us, does
good rather than turning her powers to evil. And we are sure glad she is on our side. Besides championing causes
she can be found quitely tooling away the day, pondering the significance of member life.
Ed Schwab
Unix Systems and Network Administrator
eschwab@tripod.com
Ed is the product of tripod's first human cloning experiment. See,
we took a few cells from our original sys admin, Jon Butler, did
some wacky things in a pietry dish and baboom, out popped Ed. They're
not exactly alike but the resemblance is uncanny. We actually altered
his voice to have a southern accent - pretty good eh. This makes
our cover story that Ed really came to Tripod by way of Virginia a
bit easier to believe.
Hank Zill
Assistant System Administrator
hank@tripod.com
We imported Hank from sunny Florida with his pet ferret named Dora. His
golden locks are pretty cool, but not as cool as his shiny red car.
Of course, it doesn't do very well in the snow (and it seems like it is always snowin'
here in Billsville) go figure, a guy from Florida with a car that doesn't do very
well in the snow.
Zayar Maunkmaunkin
Assistant System Administrator
