One of the best ways to investigate a career and to find a job is to participate in an internship program. An internship is not just a temporary or part-time job, but rather a carefully monitored work or service experience in which an individual has intentional learning goals, and reflects actively on what she or he is learning throughout the experience.Internships can last from a month to more than a year. They appeal to people at any stage of their careers. Internships can be part of an educational program or just a way to explore new opportunities. They can be volunteer opportunities, or for pay.
The 1996-1997 Edition of the National Directory of Internships, a publication of the National Society of Experiential Education, includes a comprehensive listing of internship opportunities. This searchable online database for NSEE's directory has been brought to you as a service of Tripod.
To find internship opportunities tailored to your needs, choose either a location area, a field of study, or both.
