Graz
Do you remember the "Brady Bunch" episode where Jan--fed up with always living in Marsha's shadow--buys a black wig in order to carve out a niche of her own? Well, that's sort of what Graz--only the second-largest city in Austria--has had to do ever since the 17th century, when the Hapsburgs took off for Vienna, which subsequently became a cultural mecca (like Marsha) attracting the likes of Freud and Gustav Klimt, and eventually getting an "International House Coffee" named after it. Graz, on the other hand, was labeled "Pensionopolis" for the multitudes of retired civil servants attracted to its "mild" weather and "simple" lifestyle.
