Five years after Grandma passed away, we were cleaning out the basement when lo and behold, we found our old easter baskets. And what else would we find other than one seriousley solid little yellow peep. After discussing it between the four of us, we decided the only sensible thing to do was throw it away. So instead, we put it in the microwave for ten seconds to soften it up and enjoyed a truly classic(some might say antique)little yellow peep. While no one was permanently harmed from the experience, let me just say: If you find a really old peep DON'T put it in the microwave and eat it. For one thing sugar gets really hot really fast in the microwave. And for another, wine may be meant to appreciate with age, but a peep is only a peep when its fresh and squishy!!

when i was in 4th grade i convinced all of my classmates that i had found a peep inside a cadbury egg. i told them that it was some big contest, and that i was the winner. so i lied a little, it was still funny.

I work for a Drug Store chain, and at this time of year, we of course - sell Peeps. But many people don't know the lonely plight of the Peep. You think it's easy being packaged up... sufficating behind cellophane, just waiting to be taken home and wanted. I walk past them almost everyday. And it hurts to see their little forehead pressed against the plastic prison. They just sit there, waiting to be knawed on by someone who appreciates their value.. everyonce in a while, a person who cares will take home three, or even nine. And I can almost hear their cries of glee, when they are placed in the bag for easy travel.
So when you see a package of Peeps, make them happy - take them home. They look so much happier with a destination of love, then being thrown out because others just don't understand.

The first time I had a peep it was a little pink bunny. I was 4 years old at the time and this bunny was the most adorable bunny I'd ever seen. I didn't eat that peep. I took it in my room and built it a house (out of Legos) and "fed" it bunny food (cat food), and even gave it baths. I even named my peep! Pokey! (they stole the clay horse of Gumby from me) I kept him for a year. I'd tell all my friends about how he played and everything. Then, at the age of 4 1/2, my mother gave me another peep! A yellow chick. I built him a house too. I gave him all the stuff I gave Pokey. I named him Chicklet (the gum name is MY idea). Every spring my mom would give me a peep. At least one peep. I got 2 when I was 5 and when I was 8. My parents knew I loved peeps. Now, at the age of 12, I have 12 peeps, Pokey, Chicklet, Ice Cream, Marsia, Fluffy, Barney, Heather, Tasha, MaDonna, Yanni, Kadiya, and Black Sabboth. I have 10 bunnies and 2 chicks (Chicklet and Barney) I will continue to collect peeps until I'm dead! I've never ever ever ever eaten a peep in my life. I couldn't stand to! They are so adorable!

The most memorable thing i remember about a peep is how i met my boyfriend. It was springtime and there were flowers and trees blooming, birds were cherping, the sun was shining and the leaves were blowing in the wind. I was sitting on a park bench, next to the big fountain, feeding the pigeons. I seen the most handsome man I had ever seen walk by me eating a yellow chick peep. I thought to myself I love those little peeps. He kept walking not giving me a second glance, eating his peeps, and went and sat under a huge oak tree. I went back to feeding the pigeons and minding my own business when I heard this choaking noise and I turned around, the handsome man I had admired eating his peeps was choking on one. I went into hysterics and threw down the food i was feeding the pigeons and rushed over to help this gorgeous man i so dearly admired from afar. I ran over and he was starting to turn blue so i got in behind him and wrapped my arms around him and done the hymlick manuver on this gorgeous creature. I pulled on him three times before the huge ball of peep came forcingly out of his mouth and across the yard. He spun around real quick to find me nose to nose with him. He stared at me for a long time before thanking me and after he did, he offered a peep to me. Being that they are my favorite, i just couldn't resist. We shared about 4 more peeps after that and talking til no end and we had more things in common than just those little peeps. Now on every aniversary, he buys me a box of peeps to keep the memory of how we met alive.

My brother, Conrad, in all his wisdom, decided despite a lack much money and sense, to adopt a mixed breed german shepard/greyhound. Remus had to have been the largest dog in the world. He was a fairly gentle chap for his size, though he was a bit clumsy. As a puppy he could clear a table with a mere swish of his tale. His one fault was trying to play with baby ducklings.. the mother was a bit distraught. But come Easter this gentle soul would pray the easter bunny (or my sister-in-law) would remember his peeps. Remus would gingerly take each peep careful not to break it's little neck and bury it in the back yard. Perhaps this is all he meant to do with the live peeps of his youth. Remus is no longer with us, but every Easter we raise a peep to his memory.

Last year for easter I was hanging out with my boyfriend. He gave me a big box of peeps to have all to myself. When I opened the box a peep jumped out and he had an engagement ring stucked to him. My boyfriend proposed to me that day. We decided to get married on this Easter.
