The Usefulness of Peeps:
It is just amazing what Peeps can help you do. And it can be quite disgusting...
FIRST PRIZE - Peeps Rescue Girl From Slippery Fate

When my daughter was 5 years old, I had just finished washing the kitchen floor and she was trying to cross it but she kept slipping. She remembered that her pajamas had a sticky bottom to them. She knew that the peeps were sticky so she grabbed two of them, placed them on the floor, and stepped on them. She made it across the floor without slipping!

I was about eight years old, and got a flu, or other virus, during easter break. I was unable to keep anything down. I wanted to have some of my easter candy, so I tried a chocolate egg. It came back up--which was very disappointing--but being the diehard that I am, I tried a Peeps Chickie. It tasted like a little bit of heaven, and it was the only thing I ate that didn't come back up. My easter wasn't a complete loss afterall. Peeps saved my easter for me, and I've been eating them ever since. I've even got my family hooked on them.
Thanks for the memories. Ken

My most memorable use for
Peeps is to stop hiccups. One night
around Easter-time while having a
few(ha!) beers with a friend, he came
down with a severe case of the 'cups.
Knowing that a spoonful of sugar
helps to cure 'cups, and peeps are
just a blob of colored sugar, he ate
one of my many left-over Peeps and
was cured!
Got the 'cups? Eat a Peep!

When I was in college my buddies and I would stock up on Peeps at Easter and use them throughout the year. We would peel off the crunchy outer skins and then use the gooey inner structure as adhesive for the posters and other light weight stuff we put up on our dorm room walls. After it was all removed hot water took off the residue. :-)

As a professional cubical dweller we have a "cleaning" service that comes and vacuums the rugs twice a week. My fellow cubicle dweller and I were in a deep discussion about what areas were vacuumed and which weren't. Here's were the PEEPS came into play. We strategically placed several of them on the floor of our cubicles. Each cubicle having different locations. The idea was too see which would be picked up and which left behind.
Needless to say the PEEP that was under the work surface closest to the cubicle wall survivedthe longest. In fact it was rescued some months later with the only determent to it being as hard as a golf ball and the color went from yellow to a moldy green.

In addition to nuking them, I've found the funniest
use of peeps is as shuttlecocks. Yes, you heard me...
shuttlecocks. Ah, there's nothing like a game of
Peep Badminton to lift the spirits. However, the
volleys never last long because we're usually
doubled over laughing after the first shot. The
peeps are pretty resilient: although they do lose a
lot of their sugar, the color stays on, the eyes
stay on, and they get this lovely quilting design.

I am entering this contest for my teacher who is the #1 Peep fan worldwide. He has devoured hundreds of pounds of marshmallow in his years but none as satisfying as the marshmallowy sweetness of a Peep. He has invented many new uses for this lovable character, this is a tribute to his everlasting llove of the worlds greatest food.
It started when he was a teenager, turned on to the marshmallow goodness by a friend, he has know become famous (practically) for his many knew uses of The Peep. One Easter Day he was celebrating with his friends and family playing badmitton, when to their dismay the birdie was knowwhere in sight, they thought it was over but then a savior, in the form of the Peep offering its services to the family, ever so loyal to its plump, sugar covered friend. The game went on for hours the fun attributed to this cheery little creature. From then on the Peep had a special place with the family on their rackets.
This story, taken from a true story actually happened about 6 years ago it now is a tradition in the family.
Thank-you Peeps!!
