| Hey Evel, my problem is that I'm bored. I'm 27 years old. Spent over four years in the USMC and left looking for a greater challenge. Dropped out of college because I can't sit still. I play roller hockey, rock climb, and mountain bike, but these activities lack new adventure. Is there a career that I could get into besides jumping buses with my Harley that would put some umph in my life? Thanks! |
| It depends on what your desires are, and what you want to make monetarily. I would not play roller hockey, rock climb, or mountain bike, unless there was a monetary value in the end for me. I wonder why people risk their lives for nothing I never could understand that.
And don't ever jump a bus with your Harley they're too heavy. Anything that weighs over 250 pounds I would pass on.

| A former friend left his drum set in my band's practice space for over a year. I returned everything I could find to him, but now he says that one cymbal is missing, and he keeps threatening me. I told him that he was supposed to pay me 20 bucks a month for storage rent and he hasn't in 14 months, so he should be glad he got anything back at all. He says he's going to kick my ass. What do you think? -Bob |
| If the guy hasn't paid you, he should be glad to get back what he got back, and I don't think you should feel responsible for his cymbal. He says he's going to kick your ass? Well if you can't beat him yourself, then get some help. Don't let anybody threaten you. Stand up to him in any way you can.

Please note: Tripod, like most citizens of the Spaceship Earth, is in awe of Evel Knievel, his life, and his hard-earned position in American culture. However, neither Tripod nor its parent company, Lycos, Inc., necessarily share, espouse, or agree with the viewpoints expressed by Mr. Knievel, or any other Tripod columnist. (While we're at it, and to be perfectly candid, we are also fairly certain we don't agree with most of the viewpoints expressed by our high school teachers, parents, parole officers, therapists, and career bureaucrats employed by the United Nations.)
