Evel, what do you think about "extreme" sports? Like bungee jumping — it's getting really popular and everyone's doing it, but people don't really think about safety the way you did. What do you think of the idiots who die doing these "extreme" things because they weren't prepared? Even though you crashed a lot of times, and some of those crashes almost killed you, it seemed like you paid a lot of attention to safety.
I did pay a lot of attention to safety. I think the X-games are fantastic, but I don't like the use of the words "No Fear." I think that fear is high-octane fuel for learning and for victory. I think that anyone that has no fear and competes in some very dangerous sports that they have no experience with is stupid, and they should give it some second thought before they get hurt. People who have no fear really don't need a head because they don't have any brains either.

Hi Evel, I just graduated high school and I want to be a movie actor. All my friends tell me I'd be really good, but my folks want me to go to college (I did really well on my SATs). My dad even says he won't support me financially if I don't go to college. What do you think — should I move to L.A. and go for the acting thing, or should I just do what my parents say?

If you want to pursue your dream, and you want to do it bad enough, then if I were you, I'd quit relying on your parents and go ahead and go to California and support yourself. And if you're not able to do that, then you'd better go to college and let your dad support you, like he says he'll do. It's all a matter of the desire and the price that you're willing to pay to become involved in the theater and acting.

Evel, I hear you're a golfer, and a pretty good one. So here's my question: How do I cure a nasty slice? And do you have any other golfing tips for me?

Go to a good PGA pro and he'll show you how to set up properly, and how to grip the club properly, so that you can get rid of the slice forever.
