| Dear Evel, I am torn between my wife and a girl who treats me like a king. The problem is that my wife and I have been fighting for the last three months. I want to be with this other girl, but I don't know how to tell my wife, because we have a son together. I am 24 and want to live a happy life. Could you please help?! I really don't want to be with my wife. Thank you. -Neil |
| Follow your heart. If you want to be with the other girl, I suggest you be with the other girl. Take care of your family and your child, but if you want to be with the other girl, be with the other girl, because you'll be unhappy for the rest of your life if you don't.

| Dear Evel, I was downsized from my job three years ago. Six months ago, I had a mild heart attack. Now, I'm going through a divorce and a chapter 7, and I even need to be out of my home by Christmas. I'm trying to start over at 44, and for once in my life, I don't know what to do. I try to maintain my humor, as I've seen greater hardship in the world than what I have, but I was hoping you might have some advice for me. Thanks -Pete |

Set some personal goals for yourself, Pete. You sound like a pretty tough guy. You should count your blessings. In every adversity, there's an equal benefit down the road somewhere. I really believe that. So just keep on living, every day, and you'll be fine. Besides, with the way your wife is trying to make you get out of the house by Christmas, even with the chapter 7 and all that, it doesn't sound like there's a lot of love there. You're probably a lot better off without her. I wish you the best. |
