<--- back
I just turned 30 in March and I'm feeling tied down and stressed out. I'm a stay-at-home mom and I really don't like it. I have three kids, all girls. I love them, but being married with kids is overrated, especially on one income (my husband insists I don't work). I'm asking you how you pushed forward and lived life the way you wanted, even though everyone set limits on you. Or did they? Thank you.   -Larren (p.s. I think you're getting foxier with age.)
Larren, it sounds to me like you're a little bit bored with your home life, and maybe in the bedroom. You'll have to do whatever you think is right for you. You only live once. Go forward carefully.

What are the most important things in life?
The most important thing in life is your health. The second most important thing in life, in my opinion, is loving someone and being loved. When you have that, you will feel that your life is complete.

Hi! I'm 12. I have a "best friend" who is nice and considerate and fun to be with. She also steals from me. I would stop being her friend in a second, except for two things. I'm very, very shy and I don't have that many friends. Secondly, her life isn't really that great right now — her dad died three months ago, and her mother doesn't really know how to take care of children. I don't want to be another thing that's wrong with her life. But she's stolen four CDs, $30, a $39 tape recorder... the list just goes on and on. I'd appreciate some advice.

You should confront your friend, that's all. Tell her to stop stealing or stay away from you. If she's really a friend, she'll stop.
