Are there any plans for an Evel Knievel museum?
There will be an Evel Knievel memorabilia center. It's a memoribilia center, not a museum — museums are for dead people. It'll be in Las Vegas, and it should open up pretty soon.

This isn't a question so much as a complaint. You advise the sailor's wife to screw around (her husband was on a six-month assignment), and in an earlier letter, you advised a skateboarder to deny damaging a glass door. What kind of an example are you? Who raised you, anyway, Ma Barker? -FWB

FWB: My grandmother raised me. She died when she was 103. She taught me to face facts and the truth in a wise and fair manner. There's no use living your life, if it bores you and you hate it, for somebody else. And what good would it have done the skateboarder to go up and admit that he damaged the glass door? Who cares? Anyway, if you have any real questions, please write to me. I will be glad to answer them to help straighten you out.

Please note: Tripod, like most citizens of the Spaceship Earth, is in awe of Evel Knievel, his life, and his hard-earned position in American culture. However, neither Tripod nor its parent company, Lycos, Inc., necessarily share, espouse, or agree with the viewpoints expressed by Mr. Knievel, or any other Tripod columnist. (While we're at it, and to be perfectly candid, we are also fairly certain we don't agree with most of the viewpoints expressed by our high school teachers, parents, parole officers, therapists, and career bureaucrats employed by the United Nations.)
