"Montana" Tung Pham, who has been known to refer to himself as the Vietnamese cowboy, is out west this week -- fulfilling his dreams of being part of the rodeo circuit, perhaps?

In Tung's absence, I'll cover the staff news. First, let me introduce myself...because if you search the Tripod site, you won't find me. My name is Maria Trimarchi, and I am the assistant editor of Web/Tech. I am not on the Meet the Staff page or the Web/Tech staff page. My friends wonder if I really work here or if I'm just playing "Let's Pretend Maria has a Job." Anyway, Tung is the real gossip monger around here, but I'll dig up some dirt.

Since Jesse killed the fish (tsk tsk), we have a new Tripod pet: Mithril, Christina's rat. Probably a poor idea to introduce Mithril to Trixie Tripawed, the Tripod cat...or we'll be having another unfortunate casualty.

In bigger and better news, Chris Johnson recently arrived back from a debauched rock-and-roll tour of Europe, but won't talk about it. Emma is talking, though: she recently spotted Josh Field buying Martha Stewart paint at Kmart for his new hip night club. Martha Stewart paint? Hip? Survey says: No.

So, there. All the gossip that's fit to print. Oh, and you all know me, too. Bonus.
