This week's Insider takes the form of a dialogue between outgoing Insider editor Ethan Zuckerman and incoming Insider editor Geoff Strawbridge.

Ethan: Geoff, do you think we should tell the members our news?

Geoff: Well, I think they deserve to know...

Ethan: At least we should reassure them that while I'm no longer writing the Insider, I'm not leaving Tripod...

Geoff: True, but there are changes afoot. In fact, my feet appear on Tripod's creaky floorboards for the first time this week. And you?

Ethan: Well, since you've blown into town to take the reins of the membership department, I get to head back to my "real" job, heading up research and development for Tripod. Which means that members are going to start hearing from you on a weekly basis. And I'm sure they're all asking the same question: Just who the heck are you, Geoff?

Geoff: Salient question, Ethan. I'm the new membership product manager. That means I'll be spending my waking moments crafting new features for Tripod members, enhancing our existing services, and assisting our growing Tri-population. When not necessarily awake, I'll probably brew a few batches of beer, enjoy the Berkshire Mountains, and pursue my pilot's license at the Harriman and West Airport in North Adams. Want to be my first passenger?

Ethan: My willingness to be your passenger is directly tied to the number of all-nighters you pull in your first weeks here -- "Crazed Tripodians Lost in Plane Crash" seems like a lousy headline for a forthcoming Insider. And if that happened, whose mailbox would always be open?

Geoff: Good point and good luck, Ethan! We'll be seeing you at 5,000 feet or at the very least...down the hall. And for our members, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to e-mail me, my mailbox is always open.
