On September 16 Tripod staffers from Williamstown and New York converged on the Alger House, an elegant two-story townhouse in New York's Greenwich Village, to celebrate the publication of Tripod's "Tripod's Tools for Life: Streetsmart Strategies for Work, Life and Everything Else."
Many of the book's writers attended, as did members of the media. Everyone was in high spirits, due in no small part to a lavishly stocked bar, scrumptious hors d'oeuvres, and some oh-so-kool live jazz.
The book went over really well, with Tripod CEO Bo Peabody and Matt Goldberg, the book's editor, signing copies for members of the extended Tripod/Lycos family. Photographs were taken so that the folks back home could see their favorite Tripodians look all dolled up (when the editorial folks outdress the ad sales people, you know it's a special event!).
But lest you think that all Tripodians were dressed in their finery, CEBo showed up in a T-shirt, with holes no less!
