It was 50 degrees out yesterday and the first crocus was sighted. With the onset of spring comes some mixed feelings around here. While we love the warmth and the sun, some Tripodians get a little irked by the fact that they have to experience the weather from inside a three-story factory building. We have big 150-year-old windows, though. They let more than just light through (a little breeze never hurt anyone).

Wednesday marked the first Post Office steps appearance of the year. It's common to see at least four or five Tripod staffers on the steps during lunch — they're granite, and soak up the sun's heat. Can't beat a sun-warmed seat and the best view of Spring Street (the main street) in town.

This spring, we are celebrating an anniversary. Colleen Harwood, our illustrious and skilled Senior Membership Assistant, has spent four springs at Tripod. Four years — wow. She's been here since the beginning; and in Web years, that's almost 30 (yes, thirty) years at Tripod. We wanted to do a little math with Colleen: She's been here four years, and in those four short years she's gone through three keyboards (they just don't take a beating like they used to), two phone receivers (she has one ferocious hang-up), two sets of headphones (she likes her music loud), and three computers (from storing too many Bruce Willis photos, or so her deskmates say). We're glad she's been around for so long. She has played a big part in making Tripod what it is today. You rock, Colleen!
