Body Art Newsletter #8 - Info on Piercings and Kanji
Body Art Pod
http://www.tripod.com/pod_central/pods/bodyart/
07/16/1999
Greetings, Body Art Pod Members!
Lately Ive been getting letters from folks who remark how they dont have anyone to share their interest in body art with where they live, or they are looking for more information. Well, thats what the Body Art Pod is all about! However, we need YOU, to participate. After all, it's your Pod too! There are several ways you can contribute and be an active part of our Pod. We want to hear from YOU!
1. Submit body art pages for publishing and award consideration. Show us your ink on a free homepage from Tripod, or promote your tattoo/piercing shop. Tell us what you know about body art.
2. Post messages and/or respond to messages on our message boards. Tattoo artists contacts, suggestions for tattoos-in-the-workplace problems, share and talk about it all with other Pod members.
3. Join in for scheduled Pod chats. Tuesday nights are the regular weekly time, but you can contact the Poderator to suggest special chats, or event tie-ins!
4. Submit suggestions, ideas, etc. via email, message boards, or chat.
In response to so many people asking about body piercing, I present the newest Best Of Pod Page: ThePiercers Piercing Aftercare and History!
http://members.tripod.com/~ThePiercer/ah.html
ThePiercer is really Cheyenne Morrison of The Piercing Temple, Australia. From the eyebrow to the guiche, details include history, benefits, healing and jewelry.
Other requests have been coming in for Japanese kanji translations. Kanji are the calligraphic words that Japanese is written with. Hit the libraries and ask for a Japanese/English (or Japanese/whatever you read) dictionary that includes the kanji (khan-gee) pictures and word equivalents, not just word for word. So far the best online resource Ive found was sent in to me from one of the pod members.

Remember: tattooed people do it in color.
