Howdy! I just wanted to let everyone know that the Country Western Pod Website has been updated with new information. Go to www.tamscountry.com and click on "This week in Country Music". I am going to feature a Country Radio Station with each newsletter, so if you have a favorite country station, and they have a website, please Email me the link so it can be added to the website, and also possibly featured in a newsletter. This newsletter the radio station featured is my favorite station, WMZQ FM 98.7. Their website address is www.wmzqfm.com. Their site has several features that I enjoy, an updated calendar of events in the area, CD releases, and concerts and of course, for those that live in the area, several opportunities to get involved in the community, whether it be "Christmas in April" "St. Judes" or attending a concert to help promote Literacy. The site also has several good country links. Check them out! Speaking of Literacy, are you planning on attending a Faith Hill concert in your area? If so, please read the following, (Used Courtesy of www.IFCO.org) Faith And The General Join Forces Faith Hill and General Colin Powell have joined forces to start a nationwide book drive to support literacy programs for U.S. children and youth. The drive is a parternship between Hill's Family Literacy Project and Powell's America's Promise - The Alliance for Youth. Faith's first headline-tour, sponsored by Cracker Barrel Old Time Country Store and CMT, which kicks-off April 9th in Minneapolis, will launch the drive. Fans are being asked to donate new or "gently used" books at concerts along the 20-city route, in return for a chance to meet her. Concert stops will include St. Louis, Indianapolis, Chicago, Kansas City, Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Salt Lake City and Boise. The May 1st show at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles will also feature Deana Carter. I will be attending the concert in Hershey PA on May 14, and I plan on donating some books, it is a very worthy cause! Is there anyone here attending Fan Fair this year?
