Ok, please bear with me!
Sorry!
What I mean is...sorry that I've let the pod fall apart!
I've been dealing with some health issues and I've kinda let
my Poderator duties slack as a result. I apologize and I
hope that things will clear up and I can get "back into the
swing of things" soon.
I've set up a Chat for August 27th from 9pm - 11pm EST. I
will try and be there, but if not...please feel free to go
and chat amongst yourselves.
Thanks to everyone for submitting pages...I will try to
make my way through them as I get a chance. Congrats to
those of you who have been chosen as a Best of Pod. Thanks
for making the pod an exciting place to be! For those of you
who haven't been chosen yet, there's still time!
Well, my gripe this month is with software manufacturers.
I LOVE the software I'm using, but they have just released a
new version. I know there's not only one company that does
this, but....well, here's my gripe:
I just recently (about 5 months ago) forked out $200 for
the upgrade to version 'Q'. Now, (5 months later) they have
released a new version with ALL-NEW features and
functionality. In order to upgrade to this version, I need
to now shell out another $200!!! I seem to remember upgrade
pricing being set differently a few years ago. I remember
that if you had, say, version 2 of a program and the company
released version 3 you paid $50 for the upgrade. Now, if you
had version 1 and needed to upgrade you paid $150...it seems
to me that this was a better system. I'm not into the $200 a
year subscription that these programs seem to be selling.
Sorry! I seem to have gone off on a little
tangent! I aplogize.
Well, that's it for this month. I hope to see you again
soon, but please hang in there
