Alas, the poor not-for-profits. They might just be the salvation of our strife-ridden society...the Florence Nightingales and the Mother Teresas of a world filled with Leona Helmsleys and Donald Trumps. And what do they get in return? No funding. No recognition. And no appreciation. In this section, Tripod presents a growing number of profiles of organizations which take interesting and original aproaches to community service. Our hope is that, at the very least, these resources will help spread the word about some folks who do some great work and are very easily overlooked. The Tripod Foundation, a non-profit arm of Tripod, Inc., has developed a special relationship with the Palo-Alto based organization, Plugged In.
