What's New On The Satellite
Now Available:

Visa Classic and Gold Cards!

Cyber-plastic? Yes, Internet credit cards are now available! Security First is issuing Visa Classic and Gold Cards to prequalified customers who open a basic or interest checking account. Enjoy worldwide acceptance, Internet account management, one-touch balance payments, and the SecureMiles travel awards program! And don't forget to check out the SFNB bathrobe giveaway! Rub-a-dub-dub!

Interest Checking!

Similar to basic checking, but with the added bonuses of unlimited electronic bill payments and interest paid on your account balance -- earn while you surf!

Basic Savings!

Now you get the Internet AND Interest! Save for a new car, a rainy day, a trip to Cucamonga -- or use your savings as an overdraft protection account (hey, we all splurge sometimes). The SFNB account also offers ATM withdrawals, electronic fund transfers, and an online transaction register! Read all about 'em.

Internet Fund Transfers!

Point and click fund transfers are here -- move money from here to there with a little mouse magic! You can now transfer funds via toll-free telephone, or from any Internet connection and secure browser.

New City Office!

SFNB Atlanta is now open! Customers in the Atlanta area can use the SFNB no-fee ATM machine, make deposits, and speak to SFNB face-to-face (you do occasionally tear yourself away from the computer, don't you?). Offering the type of private banking services that got our 'parent banks' where they are today, you can be sure this isn't your ordinary bank office. Keep an eye out for SFNB Palo Alto and SFNB Boston soon!

Overdraft Protection!

Hey, we all make boo-boos. SFNB is now offering overdraft protection to their checking account holders! Conduct your banking with the added peace of mind that overdraft protection brings. In the event of an unexpected overdraft, SFNB will draw money in increments of $25 from a designated SFNB money market or checking account to cover the overdraft. There is a $5 fee per overdraft.

Adding overdraft protection to your checking account is a two step process:

  1. Choose a SFNB account from which to draw funds from in the event of an overdraft. You can link to an existing money market account, open a new money market account, or open a second checking account just for overdraft protection. Full details regarding new accounts can be found at the Web site by hitting the New Account button from your Account Summary screen.
  2. Contact Customer Service by phone at 1-800-SFNB-321 or e-mail them and indicate that you would like overdraft protection and indicate which account you would like linked.
Overdraft protection is only available for handwritten paper checks. E-pays are not covered since the system won't let you make one in excess of your current balance. Any overdraft protection activity that occurs will appear in your online (and hard-copy) statement as such.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact SFNB either by phone or e-mail.

Other Recently Added Features:

Online CDs
When you purchase a Certificate of Deposit you can view it along with your checking and money market accounts. If you already have a CD with SFNB, it now appears with your checking account information.

With a SFNB joint checking account, both of you have access to all of your joint checking account information. You can make electronic payments, view your statement or conduct any other banking activities. Want to have a joint account with someone far away? No problem. Account holders can access the bank from any location; all that is needed is an Internet connection. Pretty nifty, huh?
