Automated Time-Lapse Photography

Thanks to everyone who expressed an interest in CamCtrl, a program I started developing to do "remote control", time-lapse photography with digital Cameras.  CamCtrl was to allow automation of picture taking with cameras tethered to a computer.  Unfortunately, I've stopped developing CamCtrl. The reasons for this decision are: 1.) I don't have enough time, 2.) it was difficult to write code that would reliably communicate with a range of digicams, 3.) other people "beat me to the punch" by writing programs that do what CamCtrl had intended.

If you are interested in remote control or time-lapse photography I suggest that you check out the programs below.

• CAME. Does all sorts of things in addition to time-lapse. A very useful program.
• TAKE ONE. A work in progress, but well on its way. Nice work.

Here is a picture of CamCtrl. I don't expect that it will get any further than this. Unfortunately I can't give out the source code because of non-disclosure agreements I've signed.
