We've been pleased as well this week by how many Tripod members have bought on-line Tripod Student Advantage cards; and have embarked on electronic banking via the Tripod Security First Network Bank Satellite . C H A T !! Tripod's own chat has been tested by a load of intrepid Tripod members and now is ready for a public beta. Meet Tripod staff in the Chat Room from 6-8 p.m. U.S. eastern time Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting next week. You can get started from the Planet Tripod homepage.

WORK & MONEY
Last week we introduced the CAREER SAFARI -- now get ready to meet the TRIPOD MONEY MANAGER, a new module which includes the Tripod Security First Network Bank Internet Banking Satellite and more great columns and interviews than you can shake a green eyeshade at! Elsewhere, Beth Kobliner (author of the phenomenally successful "Get a Financial Life") checks in with a "Personal Money Matters" column on why paying off credit card debt is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. Then, Bruce Tulgan (author of the best-selling and highly influential "Managing Generation X") addresses nagging bosses who practice the "fire-drill" micromanagement style in his latest "X Nugget". Just so we wouldn't get accused of doing too much high-brow stuff, we threw in a Tools for Thought review of "Sabotage in the American Workplace" -- a funny and scary book which gathers anecdotes of "dissatisfaction, mischief, and revenge." In the Survey, we query members to see how many of us use credit cards wisely -- and how many of us are carrying a whopping balance. Finally, the Dilemma was sent in by a Tripod member who seeks your suggestions for re-entering the working life after a lengthy absence.
