Tripod Insider

We had a wacky week here at Tripod with some ups and downs to keep things interesting.

Tripod United, our intramural soccer team, (we don't like picking on kids our own size) met with both victory and defeat on the playing field. The team displayed heroic efforts on a cold and rainy Wednesday, winning 3-2. Notable performances were delivered by non-Tripod employees: Tom Wintner, Paul and Todd Solomon (a father and son duo), Steve Masters, and Ray. Our second match was also a valiant effort but, alas, we lost 3-0. Ethan was the only Tripod employee playing, and he was overheard to remark, "The team is ready to revolt!" Looks like we need more Tripod employees playing, huh?

On the downside, Tripod's Premium Membership database fizzled and fried earlier this week. Colleen, Mac, and myself have been working feverishly to iron out the various complications. For those members affected, we apologize profusely. Please bear with us as we resolve the problems.

On the upside, Designer Siouxsie Fava hosted her annual Pumpkin Carving Party over the weekend. Siouxsie's design talents were not wasted as she created paper templates for the carving! Various Tripodians brandished their own knives at this event. It was kind of fun to learn who among us has a fondness for sharp implements.

Finally, we continue the chronicles of Karry's fish tank. She reports: "I've lost the thermometer, so I dare not put a fish in until I find it. Both fish stores I have visited have been somewhat out of stock, so I've stuck a paper fish to the outside of the tank for now." Anyone for online fish ordering?
