Last week we fought the winter blues. This week, it's the Martian Death Flu. Several Tripodians have been laid low by the flu over the past few weeks, but things seem to be getting a bit more healthy around here. It's partly due to some helpful suggestions from Assistant Producer Susan Slattery. We thought we'd pass her ideas along to you, because it just won't do for our members to be feeling poorly:

• First, sleep, sleep, sleep — preferably with a furry, purring cat (unless your allergies prevent you from enjoying the company of cats).
• Drink a ton of water — it'll clean you right out.
• Skip the dairy products — didn't your mom tell you milk makes mucous?
• Hit the o.j. hard — it's full of valuable Vitamin C.
• Eat lots of fruit.
• Take a non-prescription pain-killer, if you need it.

Susan's last and most emphatic recommendation: Source Naturals' Wellness Formula. Take three of these horse pills every three hours from the moment your imbalance starts. She's even given away some of her own stash in an attempt to protect her coworkers, swearing that the pills will do the trick. Their smell alone would scare any living contaminant away (they're full of garlic and Echinacea). If you can't gag them down (one of our staff writers found holding your nose works), sit tight. The worst is usually over within 48 hours. In the meantime, rest well and see if you can get a friend to whip you up a batch of chicken soup.
