Tripod Insider

The caf has three bikes in it today. They're taking over! The weather has been gorgeous in the Berkshires this past week, and Tripodians are getting back in the saddle — of their mountain bikes, that is. Rich Garabedian rides his road bike to work almost every day, even in the snow. Hank Zill just purchased a brand new Specialized mountain bike. It's pretty slick. Anna Groskin rode her mountain bike to work for the first time this spring. It's red. She named it Xena. Cian Yates rides his Irish flag-bedecked bike to work every day. Kate Krolicki just invested in a bike, too — a new Cruiser.

A couple of Tripodians have been riding with a local bike group every Wednesday night. Heather Snowman, Brian Rogers, and Deb O'Neil are regulars, and Gayle O'Brien hopes to join the ranks soon. Chris Young took his bike out for a spin this past weekend and discovered a new trail! Some Tripodians insisted on riding through the winter. Rumor has it that Brian Fisher had a few frost-bitten toes in December. Talk about dedication. Or is it obsession? Regardless, there are some serious bike lovers at Tripod. After spending all day in front of a computer doodling in cyberspace, it feels good to get outside and make two-wheeled physical contact with the solid ground, not to mention the cool breeze and sun beating down on your back.
