There's been a lot of talk about Peeps in the office these days. It always gets like this around this time of year. That's why we came up with the Peeps-mailer and the Peeps Memory Contest. We figured if we needed an outlet for our Peeps obsession, then other folks probably do too! We have found that Peeps incite one of two passionate responses in people — love or hate.
Susan had never heard of Peeps before coming to Tripod (poor thing!). After she read through the results of our old Peeps contests, she had to go out and buy some. She thought they were pretty disgusting and insisted that even her dog wouldn't eat them. Karry has had a Peep on her desk for almost two weeks now. It's hard as a rock. You have to take good care of your Peeps in order to preserve their tastiness! Anna, on the other hand, only enjoys Peeps if they've been left out of their plastic wrapper for a few days. That way, they have some SERIOUS texture. Peeps make Gayle sick. She steers clear of them. Our resident vegan Jay wants it to be known that Peeps contain gelatin, and that "Gelatin is murder." Jesse remembers some Tripodians who, unable to keep their Peeps fascination to themselves, plastered the old Tripod office with hundreds of Peeps: In the toilet, on top of servers, and stuck to monitors.
We've chilled out a bit since then. The whole Peeps Festival has helped us work through a lot of our Peeps problems. We hope it helps you, too!
