This Wednesday's bowling was a much-welcomed break from the stress and chaos of our Homepage Studio 2.1 launch. Our newest and most excellent homepage-building tools are now live and fully functioning after weeks and weeks of work, and days and days of take-out from the Malaysian Cafe in North Adams. Mmmm, curry puffs ...

This week in bowling was a big one — the finals. Team 9 took Team 1 in three extremely close games. Team 9 members, Karry Bengtson, Dwayne Miller, and Derek Bruneau, were joined by a fourth — Margaret Gould Stewart — just back from maternity leave. Team 9 ringer Mags ended up racking up a hefty score, and helping her team take home a big win. Some of her rivals think she was actually at a bowling training camp instead of having a baby.

Team 1 put up a damn good fight. Jenny Wienert, Siouxsie Fava, Jason Macauley, and Bob Galloway should be recognized for some serious pin wrecking. Some Tripod bowlers who didn't make the final showed up to offer their support (and maybe do a little heckling). Now that bowling is over for the year, there are going to be some melancholy Tripod bowlers. But, wait — the Tripod soccer season starts next week! Now that it's light outside past 4:00 p.m., we don't need to play inside at a bowling alley, we can play outdoors. The soccer fields are almost green. Almost.
