The big day finally came. Jamie took a day off from work so he could go. Jay and Natalie drove all the way to Albany to see it. Hank went at midnight to see it the second it was released. Tripodians bought an entire theatre's worth of tickets for a showing next week. "Episode I, the Phantom Menace" has landed.

Star Wars has always played an important role in the lives of some Tripodians, one producer in particular. Chris Young, our resident Toymaker, has enriched all of our lives by sharing with us a poem he wrote and recently recovered from his parents' attic:

STAR WARS by Chris Young, 5th grade, 1979

Luke training to be a Jedi,
many remember
he destroyed the Death Star.
Not knowing if Darth Vader is dead,
thinking of the Princess,
a hero;
like a panther ...
waiting for adventure.
