We've seen many changes at Tripod World Headquarters recently. New faces, a newly completed east wing, a new restaurant delivering sandwiches to our door. But none of these newbies are quite so outstanding as the brand-spanking new Jay Patrikios.

Jay's arrival on the Tripod scene over a year ago didn't go unnoticed. He was almost too Gen-X for Tripod — he had tattoos, piercings, a black VW Jetta, and a credit card debt. Jay's a punk artist — one minute he was all smiles; the next, watch out. And hey, we loved him for it.

But now, there's a new Jay Patrikios on the scene. He smiles. ALL the time. He says "hi" EVERYTIME he passes you in the hall. He's walking on air, and it's contagious. What accounts for this alarming and blessed transformation? We think it's his new girlfriend and the proximity of Valentine's Day, but he'd never admit it!

Jo Ann has noticed the new Jay. And she likes it. She also wants the good deed of another fellow Tripodian to be recognized. Last week when her car was spinning in circles on her icy driveway, a guy showed up in her yard with a shovel and a bag of sand. Turns out it was a new neighbor AND a new Tripod employee — Bruce Whitney. As Jo Ann so rightly said: "We're a virtual family in action!"
