Having trouble getting your Tripod membership going?
Here are a few common problems, and some answers to help you.
Q:
I haven't received my Tripod password, what do I do?
Tripod issues your password immediately after you register, but some
e-mail systems may take longer to get your e-mail to you. Please wait
and do not register again. If you haven't received a password after 24
hours, you may use the Find Lost
Password tool to request a new password.
Q:
The password Tripod gave me doesn't work. What do I do?
Please doublecheck that you're using the correct member name and
password. The most common reason that people have difficulty accessing
Tripod is due to the fact the Tripod member names and passwords are
CASE sensitive. Please make certain that you are entering your
member name and password with the appropriate capitalization. If you
continue to have difficulties you may request a new temporary password
by using the Find Lost
Password tool.
Q:
I tried to register with a certain member name, but Tripod told me the
member name was taken. There's no homepage with that name, does that mean I can have that member name?
No, not all Tripod members have homepages. Even though a specific URL
doesn't exist, there may still be a Tripod member with that
name. If the registration system says a name is taken, you must choose a different name.
