    Reporting Abuse at Tripod

If you have questions regarding abuse issues or want to report what you think is a member page in violation of the Tripod Terms of Service.

Our goal is to make Tripod a comfortable place for everyone to post their pages and interact with other members. However, some people use their space at Tripod for illegal activities or to post content that is in violation of our Terms of Service. Tripod's Abuse Department aims to investigate all complaints within 48 hours and to act as quickly as possible to remove offensive material.

Many disputes are solved through negotiating with members about material on their pages, and only the most blatant examples of abuse are immediately removed from the server. In other examples, questions regarding member content are reflections of personal taste. We try to create a balance where we are as open-minded as possible in defense of our members' rights to free speech while also preserving the quality of the Tripod community.

If you have questions regarding abuse issues or want to report what you think is a member page in violation of the Tripod Terms of Service, please send an e-mail to [email protected]. Remember the following in order to facilitate the processing of your request:

    * Include the Tripod member name or the specific URL of the page that you're reporting.

    * Be clear about the issue that you have with the member page.

    * If you are reporting a case of potential trademark or copyright infringement, be sure to include the specific URL of the site from which the material originated.

    * If your complaint involves "spamming" and you have received unwanted e-mail directing you to a Tripod page, be sure to attach a copy of the "spam" including the header. Please recall also that while the page itself might reside on Tripod we don't provide any e-mail services that permit mass mailings to originate from our servers.
