A number of payment options are available to Purchase a Premium
Membership.
Our system works differently depending on whether you pay with a credit card, or with a check or money order. When you pay with a credit card, we will simply bill you every six months for the appropriate amount depending on what you've subscribed for. So, for example, if you purchase a for Premium Membership, plus you want the ads removed from your pages, you'll see a charge of $36.00 on your card every six months. If you pay by check, you will have to mail us the appropriate amount for what you've purchased each six months. You can pay for up to two years of membership at once if you pay by check. Q: How do I renew my Premium Membership?
With our payment system, you never need to renew when you pay with a credit card. We'll simply bill your card the appropriate amount every six months. If instead you decide to pay with a mailed check or money order, you can renew your subscription by simply going to your personal Home/Status page, logging on as a Premium Member, and clicking on the top part of that page that invites you to "Change your Premium Membership subscription status." Only currently subscribed and paying Premium Members have access to Premium Membership benefits like extra disk space, Free Email and Personal Chat. So if you choose to cancel, or if you are paying by check and don't renew, you'll lose access to your Free Email address, extra disk space, and all other benefits that you receive with Premium Membership. Avoid that loss! Renew now! Q: I paid to have the ad removed from my member page. What does this mean? When you pay the additional $3 per month to remove the ad from your page, the pop-up window that appears with Tripod member pages will no longer appear with your page. Q: How do I have the ad removed from my member page? If you are already a Premium Member and wish to have the ad removed from your member page, simply go to your personal Home/Status page, log on as a Premium Member, and click on the top part of that page that invites you to "Change your Premium Membership subscription status." You will be able to remove the ads from there. Q: After paying for Premium Membership, how quickly is the 22 MB available to me? All Premium Membership features, including the additional disk space, are available once the payment for a Premium Membership has been processed. If you purchase a Premium Membership online with a credit card, your Premium Membership becomes active immediately. If you mail or fax us your order, you will receive an e-mail notification when we have received and processed your order. Q: Where do I go to build my Tripod member page? For information on building your Tripod member page, please see Tripod's Homepage Studio or the Homepage Building Help section. Q: How do I know how much disk space I have available? Your own personal Premium Membership Status page provides you with up-to-date statistics about your Premium Membership, including disk space used and how much is still available. Your Home/Status Page also lets you activate your Free Email address and PM Preview Subscription, as well as taking you directly to your own Personal Chat room, and more! Q: What is the PM Lounge and how do I access it? The PM Lounge is a Pod exclusively available to Premium Members. In the PM Lounge, you can chat with other PM's, post to the PM message board, and surf through other PM homepages. You can access the PM Lounge here. Soon we will provide all Tripod members with a Tripod e-mail address through MailCity. Until then, you can get a free MailCity e-mail address by going there yourself! Q:How do I activate my Free e-mail? From now on, we are not encouraging members to activate e-mail forwarding. Instead, Tripod members can receive free e-mail accounts from MailCity. Q:How do I de-activate my Free e-mail forwarding? You can de-activate your Free Email forwarding from your Status Page. This is a good thing. As soon as you de-activate your e-mail forwarding, you can sign up and receive a free e-mail account from MailCity. Q: How do I access the Premium Membership FTP address? You can access the Premium Membership FTP address from your Status Page. Q: Where do I go to purchase Tripod gear, and get my 20% off? To get your 20% discount off Tripod gear, please go to your Status Page. Q: How do I put the PM logo on my page? To put the PM logo on your page, go to the PM Logo page, copy the HTML provided, and paste the HTML onto your page using the Freefrom Editor. Q: How do I get my homepage showcased in Tripod Insider? A member of the Tripod staff will select the pages that will be showcased in Tripod's weekly Insider. Q: Can I purchase more than the 22 MB of disk space offered within the Premium Membership? No. Currently, the maximum amount of disk space Tripod allows members to purchase with a Premium Membership is 22 MB. Q: Is the URL for my homepage different than other members' because I'm a Premium Member? No. Like all Tripod members, the URL for your homepage is: http://members.tripod.com/~(your Tripod username here, no parentheses) Q: How do I check my Tripod e-mail? Tripod doesn't provide actual e-mail services. All e-mail sent to you at your @tripod.net e-mail address will be forwarded to the actual e-mail address that you have registered with Tripod. Please see the Premium Membership Status page for the status of your Free Email address. Q: Where can I learn more about the Premium Member Image Library? Simply go to the Premium Member Image Library area, and you will learn it all! Q: What is Tripod's refund policy? Tripod offers a two-week money back guarantee.
